There was originally a plan for nine Star Wars films does George Lucas want to continue the franchise or end it ?
I wish that he would end S.W. if he insists on writing and directing .

Yes...there will be 7, 8 and 9, but Lucas will not direct them or, in fact, write them. He has handed it over to his trusty sidekick who no one seems to know the name of. I'm sure that he will oversee it though. He is making the TV series - OMG that is going to be awesome - imagine star wars every week - and then in 2010 they will do 7,8 and 9. Go to supershadow.com to see the plot outlines for the those movies.

George Lucas has said several times that 6 is all he's going to do. He never really wanted the last 3 that gave us background information on all the characters, yet he wrote & directed them, due to high fan demand. I seriously doubt he'd ever trust anyone to write, direct and/or produce anything Star Wars related. Those movies are some of his babies & to let someone else do them would ruin the whole effect/mood he's created.

I do agree that he should stop with the 6 he's done. Enough is enough. I was quite happy with the ones from the 70s & 80s. The last 3 have turned me off the whole lot.

Dont quote me on this, but i heard something a year or so ago.

a guy ran into Lucas on a beach and asked him (this was aroun the time that Ep 3 came out) if there would ever be anymore Star Wars.
Lucas said that while there was a script writen at one time (there might be a lot to this script) for 7-9, he really has no plans to do so.
However when asked if he'd consider either a prequel or a sequel, lucas said that his main interest would be the original sith wars, 800 years before ep 1 where Yoda helps win

Lucas is developing a TV series set within the Star Wars universe. Whether it will involved primary characters from the movies remains to be seen but probably not.

If you want to get into more Star Wars stuff, there are various novels out there. Two really good ones are "Shadows of the Empire" and "The Truce At Bakura." There's also a number of Star Wars comic book series published by Dark Horse that are really good. More than enough to satisfy your SW fix.

He pronounced he wasnt. there substitute into no plans for yet another 3 video clips after the 6th action picture. those have been only rumors. He substitute into engaged on a celeb Wars stay action television sequence, yet i heard that its been canceled yet even if its nevertheless on IMDB so he could be attempting to maintain it quiet. You on no account be attentive to, he might substitute his ideas in some years and make extra video clips. i like to be certain video clips based off the sport Knights of the old Republic, because of the fact i enjoyed the thoughts of those video games.
