Why do you choose this person and what do you like about them

Phoebe or Joey because they added some much needed comic relief. But I stopped watching when it pretty much became the "Ross and Rachael show"

Do I have to choose just one? Ugh! Well, I can tell you my least fave--Ross. Nothing against David Schwimmer, but Ross's storyline just got waaaaay too out of control.
He started out as the most studious and level-headed of the Friends, but once he said Rachel's name instead of Emily's, he began to spin out of control. Then he couldn't stop getting married. And it seemed that he was just too into his single life to be a dad to Ben.
Then he just started to become waaay too uptight and high strung. He was even worse than Monica.
I was glad when he wound up with Rachel, though. He really seemed to get it back together for the last season.

Chandler- for some reason he always had some witty comeback and was the perfect comedic sidekick to Joey.
