Does anyone know which of the hundreds of sites has the best solution to the aforementioned puzzle?

The easiest solution to the puzzle is in a book called "The SImple Solution to Rubik's Cube" by James Nourse. Unfortunately it's still under copyright so you probably won't be able to find it on the web, but it really is worth a few bucks to pick up a copy somewhere.

20 lb hammer hitting the cube as hard as you can in the middle of it side dose not matter

I always just peeled the stickers off and stuck em to the desired locations.

take the Rubiks.. turn one top part a quarter turn.. it should now be a diamond over square.. now.. take one of those corners pieces and PULL real hard.. it should pop out.. now.. proceed to take the rest of pieces out and put it back together in correct color scheme.. .. VOILA!!..

hmmm, does no longer having a answer kinda defeat the point of it being a puzzle? do what something human beings do and spend hours and hours and hours and hours easily no......., get the damn answer e book !
