i think of it somewhat is a sprint unfair to call their accents faux. They stay in England, married to British men (guy Ritchie and Chris Martin). i understand many British human beings residing in us of a of america can not help yet undertake some Americanisms of their speech besides. i assume this is in basic terms a count of ways human beings talk on your atmosphere. Many British toddlers watch American television at present and use American words with out even understanding it. I seem to bear in ideas that Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow have admitted that they are Anglophiles themselves. So i in my opinion don't have a situation with their accents (i'm from in London), and that i think of neither do maximum Brits.

I don't think I've heard either of them (I don't like them, so if they appear on TV, I switch over), but you know, British people always have problem with accents. They make fun of all the immigrants having different accents and when one tries to adopt the British accent, they criticise it on yahoo answers. All of us would love to speak like Joanna Lumley, but it's not that easy, why can't you realise that? I hate my accent because when they hear me, they say, oh, you're from Eastern Europe, but how can I get rid of it? Maybe Brits should try and learn some other language and speak it and have everybody laugh at their accents ('cos I imagine it would be very funny).

I'm not English, but married to an English person. No, but it does make me live in England, pick up English ways etc. I'd love to lose my accent as it seperates me from you. I'm sure I've picked up a bit of an accent just because everyone around me speaks with a British accent.
Wouldnt you rather have people who tried to integrate into your society than have those who refused to, considered themselves different and looked down on you?
I don't like Madonna, it is true. But not becuase of her accent.

To be considered upper-class and part of the country set and mix with the upper echelons of society. Madge's Bronx accent can still be clearly heard, she doesn't fool me. Perhaps she's hoping Guy will get a knighthood and she'll become Lady Madonna!

Im English and it annoys me! Pictures of bloody Madonna walking around in her tweed suit, carrying a gun, she's just trying to do that stereotypical British bit which is just a load of ****! And as for Gwyneth Paltrow, she insults Britain all the effing time so she should just bugger of home.
So, to answer your question, it pisses us off too!

Not at all. I'm flattered that such huge stars love it here so much! Let's face it, England and the English have always had a bit of a misleading reputation in America over the years so it's nice that you guys are finally waking up to the fact we are cool and so is our country.

I am British and it annoys me too, even though I'm a Madonna fan. It's just so phony and embarrassing really!
