lol you teenagers are so funny sometimes.... I wish I hadnt smoked so much weed when I was a teenager and kept a better relationship with my dad.... In hind sight, if I were in your position the only way to truly make things better is to stop lying to your mom. Just be honest with her, chances are she probably smoked weed when she was younger. Try to think about her situation, you are her daughter, she loves you so much, only wants the best for you, she thinks the world of you, has lots of pride for you, then she finds out you have been lying to her and smoking pot. I'm pretty sure I would freak out too, mostly because I would feel betrade and lied to and stupid and just hurt. If you only knew at your age how messed up some people become as a result of doing drugs. At your age it really is quit common and just about everyone has gone through that phase. However, if you get sucked into the wronge crowed of people and you never really grow out of the doing drugs thing, it really can mess up your life. You think your mom punishes you, wait until the cops catch you after you turn eighteen, thats 10x worse, trust me I know. Anyway, sorry back to how to get your mom to trust you again and let you go out. I would really try talking to her about it, try really hard to take an objective non biased rational approach, steer away from getting angry, frustated and emotional about it. Try really hard to listen to what she is really saying and try to hear her side of the story. I would say stop smoking weed to because it does more harm than good, but you probably wont because is so much fun at that age... But that would be the best thing to do. Jeebus, I just wrote a novel. Good luck!

I think the girl that said weed isn't addicting has been smoking a little too much........lol Because all drugs recreational or not can become addicting. You should really learn how much weed really does to your body, and how it could make you want to experience harder drugs. Read up on it. And know that your mom is just worried about you, and is probably disappointed. But don't lie to her by saying i'm quitting if you aren't going to quit cause that will in the end cause more disappointment and heartache you need to talk to your mom, she probably has questions, answer them respectfully and know that your mom loves you which is why she is disappointed. Good Luck:)

Can't say as I blame your Mom for being upset. Every parent wants their kid to be the best they can be, and although smoking a bit of weed isn't the worst thing a young person can do, it certainly doesn't help anyone achieve more in life.

Apologize to your Mom, and at the very least respect her wishes to keep drugs out of her house, if not your life.

When you become an adult, and move out of your Mom's house, you'll be free to do anything you want. But be warned, pot won't kill you, and the "gateway drug" label is bull, but smoking weed isn't going to get you ahead in life either.

Extended use tends to make people lazy and more prone to blow stuff off. There is also the legal ramifications, and many employers give drug tests to prospective employees also.

Life is tought enough without a drug habit to tend to, even if it is just weed.

Stop smoking it right away, explain to her that you've quit, and hope for the best. She's probably just as freaked out as you are right now, so don't be upset if she starts yelling at you. Just keep apologizing and saying it was stupid. That usually makes them forgive you.

Just talk to her and tell her the truth.
My brother does that, and despite the fact that he's the golden child and the only boy and my mother treats him like he's a god or something, she forgives him.

well weed isn't addictive anyways but maybe you should stop and prove to her that you've gotten better and try to talk to her
but next time, the best place to hide it is in your closet in an old jacket pocket you don't wear. i've never been caught and i have a smart mom

She is probably disappointed and thinking that she failed as a parent. Parents want to think that their kids are doing the right thing and when they find out that they are using drugs it hurts them.
