Words & Music By Stephen Foster
Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me,
Starlight and dewdrops are waiting for thee;
Sounds of the rude world, heard in the day,
Lull'd by the moonlight have all pass'd away!
Beautiful dreamer, queen of my song,
List while I woo thee with soft melody;
Gone are the cares of life's busy throng,
Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!
Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!

Beautiful dreamer, out on the sea
Mermaids are chanting the wild lorelie;
Over the streamlet vapors are borne,
Waiting to fade at the bright coming morn.
Beautiful dreamer, beam on my heart,
E'en as the morn on the streamlet and sea;
Then will all clouds of sorrow depart,
Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!
Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!

That Sounds Like "Cry To Me/Go On Cry" By "Heart" From The "Little Queen" Album.
I Think It Goes Beautiful Dreamer Stands Inside The Door...You Can't Find The Easy Rhymes Of Times You Had Before.
It Hurts My Head So Bad Seeing You Sigh & Shake
Broken Down So Low .. So Sad I Can't Let You Break.
Cry To Me-Cry To Me. You Better Not Hide It.
Let It Come Let It Bleed.
I Ain't Laughing Reach In And Get It And Set It Free.
Cry To Me

I can't tell you who sings it but I am pretty sure this song first came out in the 1940's or maybe even the 30's.

It was more like what they called a lullabye type of song back then and it did have a very nice melody to it and was very popular at one time.

The song you are asking about may be something totally different but check it out if you can.
It could be be a revival of the old song.
