also called Pruritus, a stimulation of free nerve endings, usually at the junction of the dermis and epidermis of the skin, that evokes a desire to scratch. It has been suggested that an itch is a subthreshold sensation of pain; however, although both itch and pain sensations share common nerve pathways, they are generally considered distinct sensory types. Itching evokes a range of sensations.

The average adult has about 20 square feet of skin. This means that sooner or later, everyone itches. What makes us itch? Well, many things. You can itch because the weather is too dry, and because it's too cold or even too hot.
You can get a bug bite. You can have an allergic reaction to a plant or a food. Sometimes just the idea of being itchy can make us itch. And scratching that itch can not only damage skin, it can make us itch even more. It's called the "Itch-Scratch-Itch Cycle."
Ok now I feel itching lol

There is no requirement that a person have intelligence, education, wisdom or any other characteristic to join Yahoo Answers.
It is my observation, however, that bigots with no sense of humor are more likely to be permitted to remain at Yahoo Answers than those who are liberal and have a sense of humor.
