Reinstall the drivers of your Graphics card. Then set the resoulution to 1024 x 768, 32 bit colours and a refresh rate of 75Hz. This will solve your problem. If you cannot do these changes after installing the drivers and you are sure that your PC can take the above resolution, colour depth and refresh rate, then, backup your data, format your partition and reinstall Windows. Install the graphic drivers and it will resolve the problem.

This constantly happens to my Mothers old 98 pc. If you only have 600x800 as the lowest the next choice to make it smaller would be 1024x728 (the higher number makes the display smaller - very backwards). Since you cannot see the apply the settings button just hit the "enter" key on the keyboard. MS has the apply button highlighted as default and from there you can use your mouse to tell MS you are positive you want to apply the settings.

Ain't MS a hoot!

What graphics? Websites? desktop? If you cant change the resolution to a higher setting, you need to reinstall the graphics driver. Go to the dell site and click the support link. Find your model and download the latest driver.
