It means a time of giving to those you care about. Being able to show your love to them through thoughtful gifts rather than just a bunchof gifts that the person doesn't care for. A time to be with family and friends. A time to forget about the troubles in the world for one day and just have a good day overall.

"Christ"mas..it's about the birth of Jesus..who grew up and hung on a cross for me..so that I could have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. I know that Jesus was not actually born on Dec.25th..and probably not born in the winter at all..but that doesn't matter..He WAS born, lived, died and rose again...and I celebrate every day, every moment..because of His amazing grace. May YOU be blessed this season..and let the Lord of all creation live and reign in your heart as well. God Bless You!

It's all about Jesus. I also take the opportunity to make my home festive looking, because I like the way it looks all decoarated. It's a time to enjoy Christmas songs and hymns, and to be overjoyed at my Lord and Savior's birth, all over again.
