I have a 2006 lancer OZ and I am getting a 6" magnaflow street series (14820). I measured it out and it fits, but they will probably have to add some piping or it wont reach my bumper.

Garages like to sell you what they have on the shelf. If you bring in your own stuff, don't be surprised if they charge you what you already paid for it, plus the labor to weld it on. It's how they make their money on stuff they didn't sell you. I suggest you find a custom welding shop or a custom exhaust shop and hammer out the deal before you sign on the dotted line.

They'll usually charge $20 to $50 depending on who you take it to, it's easier if you let a friend do it that has some welding experience and can lay down a good bead you'll not only save money but if you watch (welding helmet is a must) you'll also learn something! Whatever you do, do not use a ARC welder unless you have alot of experience, use a mig or a tig there more suited for thinner metals.

I'd say less than $100, probably $50 or so. Piping is not that expensive. Thought I thought most mufflers nowadays are bolted in?

That's a Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally Edition. He's adding a BETTER muffler/exhaust than the stock one. It's his money, so help him spend it.

OR. pass to vehicle factors keep, and purchase a Chiltons finished vehicle restore/troubleshooting section handbook/handbook 4 a Mazda 2005 6i . approximately 23$. properly worth its weight in gold!
