i got married to my husband after a courtship of two months, and after 11yrs, we still feel as if we were wrong for each other, it doesn't matter how long you stay together before you get married, what matters is that you click, and that you understand each other. love is only temporally, it is there for the first few months after that it is all about understanding and caring that counts to make a marriage work.It takes both to make a happily married life.....

no i don't think long years of dating can help i did that and it still didn't work out. i think its more important that your both truthful about how you both are . and that you share many things in life the same you can have some opposites but your partner should now you well and you should both be able to communicate well and no bull shiting then get married and find out its not who you really married.

However i wouldn't pull a pamela anderson 3 day dating then get married y9our only asking for trouble. a fair enough amountof time to know each other well but not years and years.

it usually helps to date a person for awhile before getting married. Rushing into a marriage isn't healthy. And longevity can help in a marriage or any relationship being succesful, but its the people, and their commitment to the marriage and each other , and their commitment to God that in the end will make a marriage succesful.

Me and Bf have been together for 17 years and have decided that we will be married on April 15, 2007. We had a rough spot recently that made us realize that we are meant to be together forever and ever and ever. So if you're ever in Oklahoma next year come on over to our wedding.
