i took the pill 5 hours after having unprotected sex and about a week later i "spotted" for a few days. im not sure if that was my period or not but if it was my period i would have been 2 weeks early. now it has been about 5 weeks from my original last period and 3 weeks from when i started spotting. i took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it came back negative but im not sure if it was too early to take it or not. i need help! please! could i be pregnant?

I hate to say it but probably so. The same thing happened to me. Nothing is 100%.

The morning after pill can mess up when your period comes, delays it for a while. I *really* doubt you need to worry, considering your test came out negative and you took the pill within the required time. If it still doesn't come after a few days, take another test or take one of the tests at Planned Parenthood, just to make sure. Again, I really don't think you are, but nothing is ever definite.

You probably are not pregnant. When i took it (2 days after the incident) i had spotting a few days after and my period started a week after that. I wouldnt worry about it but what i would do is obtain birth control to prevent that scare again. It was honestly the best thing ive ever done.

This seems pretty normal - but I'm going off the experiences of the women I know. I would suggest talking with your personal health advisor.

My understanding is that taking the morning after pill disrupts the female menstrual cycle, sometimes for more than one cycle, sometimes several.

Just going off what I've been told by my lady friends...

You should do a preg test, but leave it a few weeks to make sure you dont test too early, sometimes an early pregnancy cant be detected.I got a very light bleed in my 1st pregnancy, had bleeding alot in my 2nd too, it might not be pregnancy, but miby a visit to you r local family planning centre would be a good idea, they can explain things better, and test you for pregnancy for free also

I'd say probably not, but get checked out just in case.A doctor can do a more definitive test.
