i recently moved from a place i've been living for 7 years (i'm in eigth grade, btw) and although i have made a lot of friends, and i hang out with them at school and eat lunch with them and everything, i do not have a best friend.
i dont have anybody go to the movies with during the weekend, i dont have anyone to confess my crush to....
because most of my friends have known each other since kindergartem and they are inseperable...
and my other friends are just hi-bye friends.
trouble is, i cant find anyone i would really LIKE to have as my best friend.
what could i do?
i mean, i cant advertise for a best friend, but i dont wanna spend my weekends immersed in boredom...

hey man I know how you feel. Sometimes it's rough, especially weekends, like you said. What you have to do is accept what you have and make the best of it. That means you have to become more independent than you already are. Find things to do on your own. Either get involved with organized activities or just go out and do stuff by yourself. The less time you have, the less time you'll spend wishing for someone to do something with. Eventually you will find that person. Just be patient, it might even take years, but in the meantime, you'll learn how to get along on your own, and that's just as valuable as having a best friend.

Somehow I can relate... So here goes..
Looking for a best friend is like looking for a needle in the haystack.
Yeah, sometimes for others it might be easy but for some it isn't.
It takes a lot of patience and time. Well, first things first, try taking some time to talk to one of your new friends. who knows you might share the same interests and poof! Think positive.. Okey? ; )

You need to have patience and wait for the right person to be your best friend. You will surely find him/her who is just the way you wanna be your best friend. Try mingling with more and study their minds....the more you talk and mingle the chances of finding the right person is more

IT TAKES TIME TO DEVELOP FRIENDSHIPS> start talking to someone who you like at school. See if the person also likes to do what you do. Go on from there.
