I have a Dell Inspiron 640m and the lid part, like where the screen is, is kind of loose, anyone know how i can fix this or go and get it fixed?

Go to the support.dell.com and look up your model. They will have a service manual available on line that will show you were the screws are that hold the display. Often all it takes is to tighten those screws.

hi...
do u find any rouble in geeting the display.. if so then u need to reconnect... the cable.... any way.... turn the laptop off and turn the laptop upside down and look for the screw hole with the letter "D"... if u do not finnd it there u will find it at the back side of the laptop... and look whether the screws are secure....

this will fix ur problem..

How old is the unit.It may still be under warrenty.That is if Dell will honer the warrenty,99.9% of the time they don't.
