What are steps to become a teacher in Wisconsin?

I want to become a high school history teacher. I am going to attend University Wisconsin-MIlwaukee, and I don't understand the infomation (such as the portfolio, required class, etc.) that the website provided. Also, what are the steps to certaification?

FIRST you must complete your four years of college, you will major in a subject such as English or Math and in Secondary Education. Your Education courses will cover the portfolio and required classes. You will be required to student teach for a semester as well.
