Seminars are great for many reasons: However I am sure, though you did not mention it , your are expert in some field or on some topic. Now having said that you need to decide the length of this seminar one day two etc. Need who is your target audience #rd How do you reach this target audience / market. 4th Way will they come to see you... you need a draw other than the material. e.g. continuing ed.,sponsored by a university or community college and so forth.
If you decide to go it alone with this seminar, Location Location do not be cheap (especially if this will be paid for in all or part by their employer.) It is always good to hold the seminar in a place where they might not have ready access e.g. private club do not ever hold it at a hotel or conference center.
Next you need advertising material. location, Price, your Bio, What they will get out of it, sponsor. Then urgency - limited seating, first 20 people get xyz. Early dead line so you can always back fill or cancel.
After that ... I guess you can teach :-)
Good luck
I have done many all ways a lot of fun.

Create a concept, then hire an Event Planner to do all the dirty work. However, Seminars can be pricey, so set a firm budget in the beginning.
