No, I don't think they were thinking of Wizard Of Oz at all. I believe it to be just a sweet coincidence. If you can, instead of starting up Dark Side Of The Moon, start Bat Out Of Hell 2 by Meat Loaf along with Wizard Of Oz... The whole tone of the movie changes and becomes very sexual and it goes just as good with it as Pink Floyd!!!!!! I've also tried 'Eldorado' by Electric Light Orchestra. Though it doesn't go quiet as well as the other 2 above, there's one song called 'Laredo Tornado' that plays during the Tornado scene!!!!!!!!! Eldorado came out a year before DSOTM. You should try these 2 with it and see what I mean, then experiment with other classic albums. :-)

When I was a kid I heard you could smoke pot, watch The Wizard of Oz with the sound off and play Dark Side of the Moon and it all made sense.

I've heard that theory but my boyfriend tested it out and the music is definitely not in synch with the movie. It's a shame, that would've been cool : )

Hey man,I don't think that it was a coincidence because when the group was interviewed and asked this all of them denied it except Roger Waters,I think he had something to do with it.
