You really should talk to your doctor... it could be something as simple as your matress causing you back related issues... or it could be something as serious as a circulartory issue (blood flow) which could be signs of many many things..... diabetes, high blood pressure, low blood pressure .... etc etc etc.

Don't panic... but talk to your doc!

You need to see a doctor. The numbness is a symptom but not something that can be diagnosed with out a visit to the docs office. Since you sound like this happens often you need to see the doc soon and get this checked.

It is natures way to keep you from sleepwalking or harming yourself or someone else. Nearly everyone that is normal and dreams has it.
Yes it is disturbing at times, especially when you are having a bad dream and can't run away or fight. Find a sleep partner, and warn them about it, so they will wake you.

in some countries, it's called "being ridden by the witch" but it's just because your body doesn't get out of that paralysis right away. it's okay! don't worry!
