I am 31 weeks pregnant. I had an operation on my cervix after having my second child 4 years ago. i had my hospital appointment on wednesday where they told me i was 3/5 already and that was too soon for my third child. I was told to pack my bags and come back and see the doctor next week. I woke up this morning feling really yuk. I have had pains in my bowel area all day and feel like i keep i need to go to the toilet even though i have already been twice today. I am getting cramps but havenot started timing them yet. I have a dull pain in my back. The baby is still moving around like usual so i guess he has not slowed down. Also have a cramp pain that is constant in the front and on the inside. Anyone got any suggestions

It really sounds like you should go up to the hospital right now. You at least need to be monitored, especially since you have had previous complications. You could very well be in labor and it IS too early for your baby to join the world. Sooner, the better. Good Luck to you and your baby =)

it may be that the baby is turning to the head down position...you would feel a lot of movement, cramping..and the uterus may be preparing to move the baby into the birth canal..are you producing any milk?..and have you had a sudden burst of energy..like wanting to clean the whole house?..nesting..? ..and of course..have you noticed a "show" of blood or pinkish fluid when you go to the bathroom and wipe?
and try to remember the circumstances around your last pregnancy..any similarities to your previous labor?
best of luck to you..may the Lord bless you and your family with a healthy beautiful baby..

Call your doctor again, lie down and stay off your feet. If it is too early to have the baby, the doctor needs to be aware of your symptoms. I'm surprised they did not put you on bed rest. They can also give drugs that stop labor.

Best Wishes,

Sue

Constant pain seems unusual. Get checked again. Better a false alarm than a dire emergency. Good luck

Get to the hospital. Even if it is not labor, if you are having cramping or pain it could be something serious and be harmful to the baby.

Go to the doctor's office, or the ER, and have it checked out. NOW!
