I think her "spirit guide" is not what it makes itself out to be.

I Am Very much A Believer In The "Paranormal". I Have Studied These Topics Just About My Entire Life....everything from ufo's to evp's. BUT, I Also Strongly Believe In God, Jesus, The Bible, etc. Sylvia Has Very Good Intentions, But Her "Guide" Does Not.

Just Something To Keep In Mind......."Evil Does EVERYTHING In It's Power To Mirror Good".
So, Therefore, One Must Assume That A Person Endowed With An Evil Gift Has The Ability To Do MANY Good Deeds.

EXCELLENT QUESTION!!!!!!
Like you, I am a christian who explores the paranormal. I watched Sylvia regularly on the Montel show and thought she was misguided - but it wasn't until I read one of her books that I was absolutely SURE she is! I can't believe anyone with half a mind believes this woman. She calls herself a "humanitarian" but charges $700 for a 30 min. phone call!! And I fault Montel for not having follow-up programs that might shed some light on her accuracy rate. (I've e-mailed the show about this and recieved no response.) I watch her on Montel just so I can watch her botch a reading. Once a woman said she had lost her cat but mysterious things were occurring around her house. Sylvia said it was the cat's spirit - but then the woman said, "No, by 'lost' I mean we had to give her up and give her to someone else!" Sylvia also looked at a picture that had a smeared image of someone on it that looked quite ghostly. The area of the smear was clearly circled and highlighted by the shows graphics people but Sylvia said it was an ORB!!! What an idiot! The most amazing blunder by Sylvia occurred on live radio. On the night that the West Va. miners were killed, she was on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. There was a news report that said that the miners were alive. When Sylvia heard that she said, "I knew they would be found." And the show was on a high note because everyone was so happy the miners were alive. But then, the news reported that it was in error and the miners were dead! Sylvia immediately denied that she thought they were alive and tried to say she was simply saying she knew "they would be found."!!!!! (You can Google search the incident for confirmation.) I am delighted that I have the entire incident recorded from the live broadcast. It's a hoot! So, YES! I thoroughly believe Sylvia Browne is misguided! But I watch her all the time because she's so pathetically amusing. Good luck with your paranormal research. If you want to see a really eerie video of a haunt, go to LEMUR.COM and click on the video of the EMF meter that moves by itself! It's the most compelling video evidence I've ever seen! The meter sitting on a chair suddenly falls on it's face, then eerily rolls over on it's side, clearly pushed by an unseen force!!!! Good luck!

Sylvia Browne is not misguided, she is Miss-guided, which is different than Mr. guided. Furthermore, she guides her own spirit because she is powerful. And hot. Or maybe a little warm as the case may be.

I agree. I have read Van Pragh, John Edwards,
George Anderson, and et al in multiples and I
think Sylvia-though with good intent is full of it when she says Heaven is 3' off the ground and
that in Heaven we are all 30 yrs old.

She once told a lady whose brother had been mising for like 15 years that he was in New Jersey or something, but that she wouldnt find him because he didnt want to be found. Any Ding Dong could make up a story like that.

In some ways. I think she needs to get off the Christianity kick where she thinks everything is an angel or a demon.

Yes.
Do you ever go to/heard her seminars?
They cost $75
and she just speaks and you are not allowed to ask her any questions about yourself/your problems/life etc.
Tell me that is not a clue that she is in it for the $$?!?!?

I would tend to agree with you, but I will also openly admit that I have problems with what I perceive to be her "Christian-centric" point of view.

You think she's acting in any way harmful to others? I think she helps a lot of people. If you're against her views... question why, really why.
