how do you apply eyeshadow like the women on the soaps??

Wash a light color all over the eyelid up to your brow bone, this is called a highlighter. Then apply a darker shade on your lid and if you want more dramatic then add a 3rd darker shade to the corner of your lid and blend into your crease. Then add mascara and eyeliner.

I am hoping that you mean big, dramatic eyes. What you need is a minimum of three shadows, light, medium, and dark shades (you can get pre-coordinated shadows in this combination pretty much anywhere). Apply the medium shadow all over the eye. Then apply the lightest shade just under the brow. This helps highlight the eye and makes eyes wider. Many people put a little bit of the palest shadow in the inner corner of the eye as well to make them look brighter. Apply the darker shade in the crease of the eyelid, in an upside-down "U" shape. If you have a fourth, even darker shade, use it to line the eye with a good eyeliner brush.

first...you need to buy the right tools(brushes), there's like three of them. one is to apply on your eye lid, the either one is to apply on the corner of your eye, and the last one is to blend. OK so first your going to apply your first color on your eye lid then with another brush your going to apply the dark shadow on the corner of your eye lid but not passing the crease of your eye, then with your last brush your going to blend blend blend!!!! my advise to you is go to a cosmetic stand or whatever and ask them what brushes you need and tell them you want to learn n how to put eye shadow, their pretty much going to tell you the same thing i did. good luck<3
