IIPM is fairly ok for an MBA course. But the reason why people are not so much for the institution is that they claim lots! Most of their ADs cry out "Dare to think beyond the IIMs". But they are not as great as they claim they are.

And you know what!? Their course is not an MBA at all; it's not even a proper diploma. It's more like a certification course wherein they'll give you a certificate at the end of the course which is no way near a proper diploma even. Atleast that was the case 4 months back; dunno if they have changed anything recently. (AS FOR ALL THE NEWS ABOUT MBA FROM IMI BEL, DO CHECK IT OUT.. THERE ARE SOME "IF" AND "BUT" CLAUSES. NOT EVERYONE GETS THAT MBA DEGREE FROM IMI BEL. CHECK IT OUT YOURSELF)

As for their claims of 100% placements, it IS true that all students get placed. But then that's obvious in a management insti! What with India needing 1 lakh managers per year and only 25000 are available from all institutions put together! Further, most of IIPM's placements is into sister concerns of the IIPM management itself.

And all their ADs have photos of only their Delhi campus. That's good; but the rest are mere one-building campuses! I have been to the Chennai branch myself - believe me it is just A SINGLE BUILDING IN A BUSY ROAD! Did not give me a feel of an educational institution at all! The infrastructure is not at all impressive!

But they never reveal all this! They'll go on and on about international campuses - but in reality it is only their Delhi campus which is good (apparently).

If not for these spurious claims, I would surely recommend IIPM as at least a decent place for MBA.

The point is this - if the institution is by itself promoting half-truths and hiding of info from others, then how can we expect them to create managers with proper business ethics? Beats me.

rather sad. it only makes sense to earn a degree from the very best places, otherwise, you've just wasted 2 years and tons of money, you could learn a lot more in these two years by getting yourself a job and learning things hands on.
