Depends. If you still have part of your hymen, it's apparently a short, sharp pain that quickly goes away. I didn't have mine by the first time I had sex, so I didn't get that particular pleasure. It felt sore, like my vagina was being stretched uncomfortably. It hurt, but not in a "stop, now, please!" way. It also felt good. As we went on, the pain became less and the pleasure grew.
If you're worried, well, don't be, for one. Being relaxed helps, but who's relaxed their first time? Just try to keep yourself as not freaked-out as possible. Also, don't rush towards the intercourse. It helps if you are ready. The hornier you are, the wetter you'll be, and that will ease things for you. Also, getting lube can help. Just buy K-Y jelly or something, because using lotions or petroleum jelly is bad and can lead to infections or broken condoms.
Vaginas are very flexible things. Most of the problems do come from nervousness, because the muscles tense up, and inadequate lubrication. Friction is good, but too much of it hurts!

Its not really a pain per-se. Its more of a pressure. Just tell the guy you are with that you are a virgin and want to take it slow the first time. If he is gentle and careful it won't hurt at all just fill a little different for a few minutes until you get used to it. It also depends on how big the guy is but don't worry girls say it doesn't hurt that bad. Just make sure to use protection!

Honey, stay a virgin, it last forever...lol. No, Im just talking from your parents side of it. To be honest I had pain for a long time for many reasons. The number one being that my partner wasn't any more experienced than I was. If it continues to hurt much longer than a few times then you need to talk to your doctor. I wish someone would have given me that advice. Only thing I can say is it doesnt hurt now.

well when i first had sex it did hurt quite a bit..
if your ready and your going to, make sure he fingures you alot and slowly starts putting more and more fingures in, so he loosens you up a bit, make sure he is on top otherwise you wont be able to do it when your starting off, it will hurt for probably the first 5 in and outs and then the pain slowly goes away andit turns into pleasure.
once you have finnished maybe even a few hours later dont be stressed if you bleed, a few people do. because it breks the hymen,
but remember make sure your ready, and dont have an expectation of sex, your first time will never be the way you imagined..
goodluck

I suspect the pain comes from the breaking of the hymen. If the hymen has already been broken (possibly from inserting menstrual products), then there probably won't be any pain because the breaking of the hymen was done earlier.
Don't know for sure though, because I'm a guy.

when your young, as in a teen, sex is just a thing you do, but when you get a bit older, like in your 20's, it's alot more fun and exciting. The first time you do it, it may or not have some pain.

My wife says she can't remember. But eventually it turns into pleasure, if he's good that is.

The pain can last about 18-21 years if you're not careful.
