So it is good to hide IP?

With todays problems with hackers, it's vital that we have our real ip addy hidden or ghosted by the routers that we use and/or by our Internet Service Provider. For privacy. PLUS! With all these wannabe hackers/scripters all over the place trying to get into computers, and learn how. It's better to have a firewall/hidden I.P

Why would you want an unlisted phone number. So advertisers/ solicitors/ telemarketers would not bother you. This is the same reason you would hide your IP Address. So you would not be bothered from the unwanted's.

An IP Adress is best described as being your social security number. You don't won't anybody to have it, its evenly important. A hacker can easily go in and type "connect (IP adreess)" and with a community college degree could have anything they wanted at their fingertips. They could control your computer just as you could, and you couldn't do anything about it (besides unplug it). They could see ANYTHING you have typed in that computer before...(i.e. credit card, personal info, social security number, etc)
My advice, DON'T GIVE IT OUT

SO hackers cant hack yur PC.IT's important to hide yur ip.Buy a firewall.It hides all open ports.

Perhaps they are sharing songs and such illegally and they don't want RIAA or MIAA to come after them?
Perhaps they are hackers and they don't want to be backtraced and thus, get into serious trouble with the law?
