Well micrsoft is top because they made the operating system your probably using.

Gee.. Umm.. windos vista (new operating system) has many inserts and featuresbut the thing is if ur a gamer windos 98 and windos media center edition are better cause they where designed fo such purposes. But windos vista can be a bit resoursefull for office work because it comes with micrsoft office 07 the full thing wich has different texts font styles and all that **** but over all vista litterally judeges your computer. On a 1 to 9 scale. SO lets say everyon thinks that new dell that costs 500 bucks is absolutly flawlessbut its not even windos vista compatibal what that means is its drivers won't keep up with the moderen tech and soon will easily go out of date. Plus the funny thing is micrsoft now there tryingto make PC games be rated on the same scale. So lets say theres a 5 scale game and ur computer is rated 4 pal sorry you can't play that game.And really now what i think micrsoft is doing right (for the first time ever) is theyprove thoose cheap computers are complete scams and are setting the truth free.And I think there trying to find who can pick out or coustumize a computer. But be carefull illegal useres
cause every singal click u make gives off to microsoft.

Don't listen completly to me im only 12!

Business Rankings
Fortune | Forbes | Other Lists
Fortune

Among their other Lists and Rankings, you will certainly want to look at

The Fortune 500 from Fortune Magazine.
...browse the list by Company, CEO, or industry. You can also search by Company or CEO. The new list is issued in April each year. Under the main 500 you'll find mini-listings for the best employers, the diversity leaders, and the Women CEOs.
Fortune's Global 500
...a ranking of the largest companies in the world. You can review the list by company name, CEO, or Industry.

Forbes
Forbes is now requiring readers to register to read some articles on their web site. It's free, fast, you don't have to give them your name, and you only get their enewsletters if you decide to check the boxes (the default is you don't get any of them.)

The Forbes' Lists
Rather than try to point you to each of their lists as they update each year, I'm going to point you to their page of lists. For Employer Rankings, this includes:

* 400 Best Big Cos.
* Forbes 500s
* Forbes International 500
* Global 2000

There are other lists here for People, Places, and Lifestyles, but most of them can be saved for a rainy day.
