I am guessing 1.7 m equals about 5'7", which is the height I think Tom Cruise is.
I think he wears lifts in his shoes or something. I know that in his and Katie Holmes wedding photos, she actually had to crouch down so their pics wouldn't look so strange. He's a shrimp...as are most celebrities. Ben Stiller is approx 5'7" also.

Are you sure he is 1.70, because I'm 1.74 and I'm way taller than him, I mean I havent stand beside him of course, but I am taller than many people I know (except my father) and Cruise looks like a hobbit.
I dont think he has been looking taller, actually I think that even Katie Holmes is taller than him.

In the movies, they stage it. He has marks and the actress has marks. His are behind hers. He appears taller. Camera magic. Sad for him that the paparazi catch him on regular days when he isn't on his mark. So, we all see his 5'7" frame against his new wife's taller frame.

actually he looks pretty short to me. i was wondering why katie holmes always stands taller than him. before i found out how tall he was, i really thought he bent next to her all the time.
