I'm fascinated with them. Why did they go out of style? what are they called? proper etiquette in wearing them? How did they come into existence? I'm trying to refer to a movie nearly everyone has seen. It's right after Peter Bailey dies, George is at the board meeting and he and Uncle Billy are wearing black armbands. I've seen it in other movies too. Please, anyone knows anything about them, let me know.

Last I remember, they're just called "mourning crape". Like, the whole outfit together- men and women. Men would also have worn a band of silk crepe arount their hats, and black gloves (as opposed to white or yellow kid) in earlier times.

Yes they should wear Black armbands BUT to honour the dead ,killed by that illegitimate , mother seducing animal.
