Politicheskaya pravil "nost" : this is what the Soviets of the '20s called today's "multiculturalism"

Then, as now, it used to control education, health and social services, and ethnic behavior. In short, it is an essential tool used to regulate all aspects of life.

Dissent in Soviet Russia from PC gave cause for the authorities to deem one as suffering from mental illness, and the only treatment was incarceration. In today's PC world, the left uses litigation as their flail for those of us that refuse to be constrained by this insanity.

To further prove that Political Correctness, along with "forced multiculturalism" is a well used, and time honed device of communism, I give Mao-Tse-Tung's words:

"Not to have a correct political orientation is like not having a soul". This doctrine Mao used as a political-social propellant to spark his "Cultural Revolution" that usurped China's centuries old traditions, and replaced those beliefs with communism.

I'd like to add that America's current enforced (from the left) version of multiculturalism is a direct descendant of Soviet era terror and social control.

My point is forced multiculturalism is a lever by which we are controlled.
The Soviets used this to control their vast empire.
Because of racial and religious tensions, the people fought one another instead of uniting against the oppression of communism.

I agree that human decency and egalitarian equity are vital for a healthy and productive society. I say this not in defence of myself, but because it's true: the most intelligent, and thus favorite people in my life are females. Further more, I despise all forms of racism. I've know too many people of varying ethnic and religious extractions to believe in a superior race.

My point is that I sense a sanctimonious air by those that wish to FORCE their version of just and moral behavior on society. In fact it creeps me out because I get the feeling that I'll one day discover that indeed we are all equal--just that some are more equal than others.

I'm sure you look at conservatives in the same way I view many on the left-- after all, I am capable of feeling some political empathy.

I don't wish to force my views on anyone, and by the same turn-- I certainly would resist a party or a movement's attempt to impose their ideas of morality on me.

I was with you in agreement until you tried saying being politically correct has anything to do with some sort of conspiracy movement of the left towards communism.

You are off base as the reasons behind being politically correct.

Teaching ppl to be sensitive to others is a healthy thing.

Using terminology that is of a negative tone is detrimental to society. For example, I can't stand to hear the phrase, "runs like a girl." unless it is actually about someone running I guess. But most of the time it is referring to running away like a coward. That always ticks me off when I believe women have more courage than men when it comes for standing up and fighting for what we believe in at all cost.

With all that said though, it can be taken to the extreme. And I have no clue what has happen to the phrase, "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me."

That teaches us to let negative things bounce off us and that we choose to let somebody's elses opinion of us hurt us or not. We seem to have lost that mentality.

So you see, being politcally correct has nothing to do with any agenda whatsoever. It is about being sensitive and courteous.. an idealism that the rightwing has seemed to have lost.

Yes. this is true. Political correctness eats society from within because it makes everyone afraid, say that your thoughts are bad and should be banned. There is a RIGHT opinion and a wrong one, and the PC is always 101% right.
Political correctness has a persuit to control your thoughts.
It's scary, we dont' want to hurt others feelings of course, or offend anyone, but the whole thing reeks with hypocricy and double standards. They create also a victim culture which really never uplifts the people they claim to be defending, but instead puts them down.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions...

You sound as if you want desperately to say something ugly to someone but are being held at bay by a threat of some civil action. That's not really the case, is it? You may be kept at bay by a threat to your physical body, but that's not really the same thing. Basically, you can say anything you can back up. So if your mouth is shut, it's because you chose to keep it shut...wisely done if you're bereft of stones. There is no "we" in this equation....you're the one who is whining about your inability to speak. What's on your mind?

"Road To Serfdom" by Freidrich Von Hayek, the foreword for which was written by George Orwell, who wrote "1984" and "Animal Farm", two books that may also become very popular but may be banned with the left in power. If they start controlling the internet content (like Google is trying to do) then we could be descending into another "Dark Ages" because people can still learn about our real American history online, and in bargain book stores, old library stacks, etc. that the PC book banners havn't reached yet.

I hate to say this, but what you're saying is very politically correct, at least among those with similar feelings. The difference between those societies you cite and our own, is that your allowed to say it, and do it in any forum you can afford to publish or advertise in. PC is and has been the rule since time began. People are goats, its pretty much that simple.

"The Failure and Criminality Of Multiculturalism "

Hmmm....you aren't advocating fascism, are you? You know, one ethnic group ruling the world as though it is the supreme race?
