They were extremely grateful to the Native Americans and thanked them profusely. Then they started figuring out why they deserved to take the land away from the Natives (who didn't feel anyone owned land and couldn't figure out what was happening).

Unfortunately, the European religion taught Pilgrims that anyone who wasn't Christian was Heathen and didn't deserve to own anything. (Christian meaning white).

The rest, as they say, is History. Thank the Indian Spirits for shining their light on America through all of the horrors that happened to their people. They are truly Angels.

Since the Pilgrims were G-D fearing zealots that gave praise to G-D for having survive the first winter 0f 1620 under the worst of circumstances. They believed everything, including death and famine was G-D Divine will and a test for them.

They thanked God. The same God who let so many of them die of starvation and disease. Yay, God! Better praise him for kicking you or he'll REALLY let you have it!
