She's starting puberty.
I started when I was ten.
I think the beginning is the hardest part, because you don't know what's going on.
Like, she might realize she's being cranky, or she might even cry over little things like I did and not know what is happening.
I suggest talking to her. I was more than relieved when I found out that my mood swings were normal. The earlier she knows, the better she'll be able to control it.

It could be that she is ready to have her periods, but it also could be that she is just acting her age. All children are cranky and act like that sometimes. I did, everyone did! I wouldn't worry too much about it.

its very possible that its pms. from the time i was 8 until i turned 10 i had monthly hormone issues wich my doctor called PMS. however, i wasnt actually menstrating. it was just an imbalance in my body.
try seeking a doctors opinion, its the only way to be sure.

hun, girls dont pms unless she has had her period. if shes had her period already then this is very possible but i doubt her having it yet. she may be starting puberty as well again at an early age and beginning to get in moody stages

if she's not menstruating, she's not PMSing. 9-year-olds can get their periods, but i doubt that's the case. PMS usually doesn't kick in until later.

My mom claimed that my baby sister got PMS long before she got her period. So, maybe you are both crazy or maybe it is true ;)
