First off, it is always helpful for the asker to reveal what key they are attempting or to describe your target tuning in terms of steps down from the normal guitar tuning. Metal guys use 'steps down' or 'tune downs' because it loosens the strings allowing bends and a 'chunkier/deeper' sound. Diagram your guitars' neck on paper and figure each string's note starting at the nut and then at each fret, the first three or four frets will do.
A. A#, B, C, C#, D, D#,E, F, F#. In this example scale there is no half step between B and also at E. Your guitar strings are the same. EXAMPLE: E string on top (String # 6) ex. Open E - one step up the neck from the nut would be F Maj, and the next fret is F# Maj and so on for every string at every fret right up the neck. Hope this helps. Good luck.
