I answered another question about what I was thankful for today. I hope people don't get sick of seeing my answers. But, I'm just so happy today.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. My brother in law has been on dialysis for a year and got called this morning that they had a match for him to get a new kidney.

They took all the tests and then let him out of the hospital to spend Thanksgiving evening with us. He will get his new kidney at 7am tomorrow. I'm just thrilled. We've had the best Thanksgiving ever. It couldn't have happened on a better day.

Yes! I was in the kitchen cooking and my husband was in the restroom and my 10 month old decided to walk into the shower while it was running (waiting for my husband to get in!) and she was dressed in her Thanksgiving best ready for company! I was so mad! Ugh. I couldn't help but laugh though after I got mad and I had to end up taking her soaked socks off! But we had a great Thanksgiving, lots of yummy food! What a day :)

confident there have been individuals of the Wampanoag tribe present day on the 1st Thanksgiving, as that they were cooperating with the Pilgrims as they well-known their settlement. in certainty many of the talents taught to the early Pilgrims have been taught with the aid of the Wampanoag's themselves, so they have been particularly area of the ceremonial dinner. whether, the belief in the back of the occasion substitute into to not be cultural mixer. while settlers first landed in Jamestown, that they had a communal style of having with the aid of, meaning that particularly everyone substitute into honestly assigned a job in accordance with their particular skill set, and each and each could in truth positioned their skills right into a brilliant "bucket", and human beings could draw from it as needed (no "money" somewhat needed). no one somewhat owned something themselves (or yet in any different case to look at it somewhat is all of them owned each thing). They right now found out that this did not artwork nicely, because of the fact some human beings weren't contributing lots in any respect, yet nonetheless drawing the comparable quantity from the "bucket" as people who have been filling it. They very nearly starved to death, as there substitute into no motivation to do greater advantageous at your interest and bring greater, so no one did. So a quick time later, greater settlers landed and tried this comparable difficulty (Plymouth Rock i believe, i could have them reversed). They quickly found out that they've been having the comparable situation, and heading down the comparable path to starvation (in the event that they did not kill eachother out of anger first). so they made a drastic substitute. They allowed human beings to very own their very own land, and gain the reward of their very own artwork. Motivation went for the period of the roof as human beings ultimately had a reason to supply greater. That year, while harvest time got here to visit, issues have been particularly diverse. as a substitute of having not something, and questioning how they have been going to get with the aid of yet another wintry climate with out nutrients, they got here across that they had a brilliant abundance of nutrients. To have fun their super harvest, that they had a ceremonial dinner, what we now call "Thanksgiving." So in precis, Thanksgiving substitute right into a occasion of their skill to create adequate nutrients to have the occasion interior the 1st place. It substitute into the 1st time that they had wish that there could be a destiny for them in this continent.
