Today is Thanksgiving and my 6 month old son had his first taste of sweet potatoes......well a couple bites would have been more than plenty!!!But his daddy didn't know or realize that, I guess, because he said my son had approximately 10-12 bites of mashed sweet potatoes, plus I gave him 2 bites of regular mashed potatoes about 10 minutes before that...I am scared, because my boy hasn't eaten that much adult food at once ever. I tried giving him the gas relief drops, no help.....He is just screaming in pain and I don't know what I should do.....any advice would be GREATLY APPRECIATED>>>>>thanks!!

let the daddy hold his son and ride this thing through.my doctor always said follow your god given parenting skills like if you feel the water is too hot then it probably is.i fed all my kids real food, but in a little different way like mashed potatoes with no butter or salt a little milk OK and a blender works great.i tasted baby food once and it was GROSS,but i did like the fruits and deserts, and no meat until hes about 10 months to a year old.i once saw a program where they prepared food for the baby and then freeze it in ice trays and when it was frozen then they would bag it and when they wanted to feed the baby they would microwave what they wanted. also Mom,boys are very different than girls and need their Dads. i had 1 boy and he was all boy.i then had 5 girls.this will pass.oh,also if this is your first than he the one we learn on.

Rub his tummy in a circular motion. When I have a tummy ache, my husband rubs my tummy for like 15 minutes and it always make me feel better. I have a 2 month yr old and a 2 year old and I did this for my first and am doing it for my second, just keep rubbing the tummy and back until he seems to feel better. Honestly, since he is only 6 months old, you can't give him much, but you can give him love and nurturing. If there is nothing that will work, atleast he will be in your arms where he has always found security, try to get him to close his eyes and relax, it will pass, if it doesn't, call a doctor. DO NOT GIVE HIM TOO MUCH SUGAR Do you want him to be restless all night? who ever said that, well, I hope that they do not give their kids jello packets all the time, oh no.

Yes, he will be fine but uncomfortable, especially with all that starch which in turn will change into sugar. Jello water is good for belly aches bc it will coat the belly with a gelatin and is harmless to the baby(I did it all the time!). Just get some simple jello such as orange, strawberry, etc. Put about a 1/4 t. in a 4 oz bottle of warm water and shake it until it dissolves. Feed with regular burbs and it may help calm his tummyache.

he could be allergic to something that was given to him. he probably just has a belly ache though. adult food is alot harder for little belly's to digest. when my kids were that young they would get belly aches from too much adult food. try a warm bath and then use some bed time lotion to massage his belly to help push the gas out for him. also lay him on his belly and massage his back with the lotion it helps to relax him and that will help the gas to come out. watch him though for a rash or hives and get him immediate medical attention if that happens at that age food allergies are very likely.

He will be fine. Just dont go giving him loads of medicine trying to self medicate him.. He will be uncomfortable for a few hours, but once it digests he will be ok.. Watch for signs of either constipation or diarhea.. He might develop either one.. Give him plenty of water later to help wash the gunk out of his system..

Uh oh :-) Well, good news is that I'm sure he'll be fine. The bad news is that you have an upset baby on your hands. At 6 months, he is fully capable of digesting solids properly. I think he just had too much. Give him something to settle his stomach and give him something for the gas if you're sure that's what he has. I think he just needs some time to rest and some TLC :-)

before everything, you're feeding him too lots too quickly. An emaciated dogs has a abdomen that has actually reduced in size. on the grounds that i don't understand the burden now or how lots he has to income, i could say start up with one million cup three times an afternoon, or probably 4, and see how he does. of path, your vet would have you ever do something else which you will shop on with. severe high quality dogs nutrients in basic terms! No Ol' Roys or pedigree or cheapie manufacturers. He desires the final nutrients you've adequate money. end feeding cat nutrients. It has too lots protein and would supply stoach upsets besides because of the fact the certainty that cats have diverse desires in nutrients than dogs. Carrots, carefully, is effective. i could carry off on the neutering because of the fact he has lots to get corrected, in particular his weight. as a good distance because of the fact the worms, usher in a sparkling stool pattern to vet. Fleas could be taken care of with a month-to-month spot on scientific care mutually with Advantix...he's in all probability loaded with ticks besides. there is something called capstar (from vet in basic terms, i think of) which will do away with present day fleas yet not defend against destiny fleas. then you definately could do exactly a month-to-month spot on as a preventative and Advantix works nicely on fleas and ticks. For now, in case you have not began montly flea stuff, you could bathe him in a delicate shampoo, fleas drown particularly, and use a flea comb if obtainable and examine out to do away along with his flea inhabitants...do it exterior. There are likely fleas in your abode now, so vacuum on an prevalent basis and throw away the bag on an prevalent basis...you do not choose eggs hatching in your abode. The vet would be waiting to make it easier to recognize what to do with all of this and this boy desires to be sure a vet. My very own opinion is regardless of what vet tells you re: neutering, i could wait till he's in solid style formerly i could situation him to anesthesia and probably lose him on the table. Orijen is super nutrients. Smaller, greater known feedings is the final to do. seem on the bag and choose how lots they say to feed for his weight and do this, probably including in somewhat greater. there is not any race to get him in shape. gradual and secure with an emaciated dogs. end feeding OL Roy biscuits and better of success! you probably did an exceptionally outstanding difficulty rescuing this domestic dog.

I am sorry but you will have to wait it out \.. maybe give Motrin or more gas drops.. I would not be worried unless he is still like this tomm. then you might want to go see the doc. ( in case he is allergic or something)

Just try to soothe him as best as possible, give him a warm bath, hold him or rock him, whatever makes him happy and good luck. Its just gonna take time. I know its scary I went through it with my children.

Try to encourage him to drink some water, water helps when you are over-full.

Also being unable to indicate that they are full is a sign your baby is not ready for solids.
