Thank you thank you thank you! I've felt the same way for years and some people think I'm crazy for thinking it. I've been raped countless times and know people that have been raped. Sex offenders deserve to be castrated or worse. Some one who could do something like that and not think twice about all the things their taking from their victoms need to be severely punished. And they let thes freaks go to walk our streets where our children play, can you believe that? I agree with you 100%!!!!! They should be castrated then given life in prison to suffer.

Chemical castration seems like a waste of time as doesn't stop the feelings that are raised in predators. So they can still offend against people but without the penetration. They can still use other means to get the same sort of results.
Not much can be done to stop the feelings that occur in these sickos. Stick them all in a prison with crims that have a zero tolerence and let them sort it out. That's why rock spiders (perverts) are kept seperate from 'normal' (b&e, fraud, killers etc) offenders.
Let karma kick back on these sick pathetic deviants!!!

There are no reputable studies showing the recidivisim rate you mentioned. Your question/survey is based an a lie and so the results mean nothing. You also fail to define "sex offender." It could include the dude who pees in the alley behind a bar and it might exclude the viscious person who shoves a beer bottle up the *** of someone. If you are asking about castration instead of other remedies, then you are a fool for even asking. If you asking about it in addition to other punishments, then it could have a limited place in the world.

I get what you're saying, but you need to remember that if a guy gets caught taking a leak in an alley, he becomes a registered sex offender.
As for molesters and rapists, sure. I'd be all for castration. And I think "cruel and unusual punishment" is a relative term. Castration is no more cruel or unusual than sexual assault.

Not all sex offenders are the same. I know people who are a sex offender that didn't assault a child and didn't hurt anyone. They had sex when the person was under age. Not rape. It was consensual. But because they were 18 and the person was under 18 they are now registered sex offenders. Don't get me wrong I don't think that is right but who hasn't dated the older guy before. I know I have. We shouldn't put all sex offenders in one pile. They should each be judged on their crime. I do however feel that when you assault a small child under the age of 15 you should be put in prison for the rest of your life. As well as with women who are raped.

In my home State there getting ready to put them to sleep like the animals they are.South Carolina.castration is an excellent idea. I vote yes for castration, write your State legislator, that's how you get it done. I have suggested two laws to a legislator friend. he put them thru and there laws now.punishment should fit the crime.not just put them in jail for every crime.problem is. a certain % of people who get found guilty actually are Innocent.twice I have been found guilty of petty things and I was Innocent. 30 days twice for nothing.completely Innocent didn't deserve it at all. Damn.my little eight year old daughter told her little girlfriend that they slightly retarded man across the street had felt her up against the wall. I asked her if this was true she said no Daddy. if was the first time I had to hit her with a belt, but I whipped her good.In cases where theres a death penalty there should not be any doubt at all.but I was molested as a very young child. molesters should be put to death.

Yes, and speaking as a past rape victim- all sexual offenders should never have an attempt to rehabilitate. You do the crime, you do the time. I can't help but wonder if zero tolerance would be effective; there's always some way for it to manifest into something else, whether it be controversial or the "supposed" rights of the abusers. They shouldn't have rights, in my opinion.

Violent offenders, predators, kiddie porn traffickers: why stop at castration?
Accepting that not all crimes are reported, the capture rate is extraordinarily low and the recidivism rate is suspected to be about 100%.
To the best of our knowledge, we can't heal them and it's inhumane to keep them in prison for the remainder of their lives. It's dangerous to humanity, particularly women and children, to ever let them out.
Euthanize. All. Of. Them.
We don't have to be cruel: we're better than that.
We also do not have to accept that abuse of our society: we deserve more than that.
So let's agree that in a perfect world this wouldn't be necessary... and in this world we need to solve rapists', paedo's, and other such scumbags' problems permanently.

I think so 2, but not every time 2 every1, because not every1 is the same. There might be those sex offenders who just can't stop, those are the 1s who deserve castration. There are some who change their lives and even tho they commited a horrible crime they may deserve a 2nd chance. I think it will be effective just not in all cases
