Dear Mr. Vernon, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole saturday in detention for whatever it is we did wrong, but we think you're crazy for making us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out, is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basketcase, a princess, and a criminal. Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours,

This is one of many movies that defined not only who I became, but my whole generation. The movie really made me (us) feel as though we (I) were in detention with the rest of them. Actually, it's the only time I ever was in detention! lol! This movie definantly defined a generation... or two ;-) Sad, that Paul Gleeson (the principle) died this past May 2006, 27th. At least he got to reunite with the others just before his death.
The one thing this movie brought about in the mid-80s was after seeing this movie, we didn't want to be 'labeled' anymore. No more labels! Because we came to live by the creed from the movie you've stated above. "...that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basketcase, a princess, and a criminal..."

How not to love a movie with Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Allan Rickman and that cute Little boy from Nanny McPhee? Love this movie, the washed up rocker! Hilarious. There are so many sweet-tender moments, but there are also many humorous moments, it's so good. I love what a pathetic Minister Hugh Grant is, and the Little boy with the girl, there soo adorable. Hi hi, not to mention Colin with the Italian girl, hilarious. I also enjoy how at the end they're all related in some way. Anyway, thanks for letting me rant about the movie, definitely one of my Christmas favorites.
