depending on where u go but approx $40-75.....doesn't hur... but it takes about two years to heal... so make sure you really want it. also, with time watch for growth (as some grow out and thinner the distance in the skin depth) as it becomes thinner, remove it completely, otherwise really gross scarring occurs

usually the price reflects what kind of job is being done.ask the person who is doing the piercing if they are licensed,if they have an autoclave(an autoclave is what is used to sterilize the piercing equipment)and look for there inspection rating.also ,after the piercing try to pay close attention to it.if at any point it doesnt feel right seek medical attention such as pussing or hardening of the skin.also do not play with the piercing until it is time but make sure to keep it clean.dont let them pierce with a piercing gun because that cannot be run through an autoclave for cleaning and last but not least make sure that the person doing the piercing wears gloves!!hope this helps.

It was relatively cheap in 1997. It cost me in the $30 range at a good shop, including my first ring. Mine healed in 3-4 weeks. It was only painful the first week or so. Just follow all their instructions (they usually give you a sheet of do's and don'ts) and use the soap they recommend. Try not to wear anything tight around the waist for a while. Either sweats or low rise pants or shorts. It's totally healed in about 6 weeks if you want to get it changed out for a different piece of jewelry.
It's fun, I have about 8 different rings and danglies. Just keep it clean!

Get jewelry made out of titanium or niobium. Less chance of your body reacting to those metals. Also, buy a box of chamomile tea and make a cup...use the tea bag as a warm compress on the piercing. Chamomile is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.

They say not to swim for around 6 weeks (thats what they told my friend). The only thing is dont touch often, even to show it off. It can get infected VERY easily

it doesn't hurt, really its just like an ear lobe
if they offer you a mirror to watch, say no
clean it lots
no touching with dirty hands
the ring will probably cost more than the actual piercing
