Dusting with the special cloth was doing fine until my daughter put her greasy buttered toast fingers all over it. I tried to use the special cloth with a little plain water in it but it just smudged the whole thing up. Now I am in trouble not only because my daughter managed to get her fingers on it but when my hubby see's the mess I made with the water he is gonna think I'm a silly twit! Please Help me

I would suggest you get your Hubby a Full Size Slab or 24 Pack of his very Favorite Brewski before owning up.

The directions that came with my flat screen said to make sure computer and monitor was off and only use water and a soft cloth. That is how I clean it, but I have to use another dry soft cloth to get the smears off. Hope this will help. They do have a spray that is made especially for LTD Screens, but I would not use soap or windex.

It is generally bad for a tv to clean screens with water. Computers also. Mix up a solution of 25% plain white vinegar with 75% water. A computer geek friend showed me this and it works wonders! Put some on a paper towel and wipe clean.

use a 50 50 solution of vinegar and water and a bit of lemon juice. make sure the rag or sponge is well rung out. wipe over the smears several times rinsing and wringing the sponge each time until the mess is gone.dry with a lint free terry cloth polish with a shammy til theres no streaks. remember wring the rag or sponge out well each time. too much water damages the screen.
