well i'm in a rock band and i'm a girl... and i'm 5"8. [[and still growing.]] and people have said that it looks weird because i'm with all guys and they're all only 2 or 3 inches taller than me. and i've also been labelled "goth" because of the way i dress and look. and i like the way i dress and look. but people have said that it's weird that i'm tall and "goth."
am i too tall? do "goths" really look weird if they're tall? [[and female...]] and would it really look weird if a girl was in a band and only a few inches shorter than the guys? sorry for all the questions...

um.....I am 5'9" and I don't think I am too tall. True, when I was younger, I really wished I was not so tall. But the guys finally grew up and I am fine with who I am so it all worked out for me. I guess the real question is do you think you are to tall? If so how do you intend to resolve that? You can't. So just learn to accept it and you will be much happier. Don't worry about what they say.

Look nimrod---settle down--you are what you are and that is absolutely perfect--I am a dude that stands 6' 7" tall -- and have heard just about all the tall stuff a human can hear----And, most of this crap out of people about the TOO TALL junk is usually out of a bunch of dorks that are simply jealous !!! Be proud of who and what you are--especially if you are a performer---and I'll tell you now---alot of us taller guys are in total attraction mode for the 5--8 to 5--10 gals----and as far as "goth" is concerned ---is that not a mindset and expression ?? If that is what that is and not simply a fashion thang----who the hell cares about a persons height when relating to a mindset and view ???
Even if you were three inches TALLER than the guys in your group---you would simply stand out more by natural order and THEY would simply have to work harder to be noticed---their problem -- wouldn't you say ??? Give them the dickens and the best of luck to you-------and by the way----as tall as I am---I spent some twelve years of my life on stage professionally doing music with a band---before going into show promotions and working for some twelve years with some of the biggest names in show business---never once let any TOO TALL crap crawl up under me or stir me one nickel's worth----So---do your thing and damn whoever says this of that about a damn thing-- doesn't have a thing to do with you--your talent---your chances in the business OR anything else---it's just some airheads making comments out of having nothing better to do !!!!!!

You are what not to tall who cares what people think I have a cousin and she's 6 feet tall it was hard for her but it's who you are I mean every one wishes they were taller, skinner, shorter,had bigger boos I wish my backside wasn't as big (think J. Lo. ) and I wish I was taller I'm 5''6 but it's who you are and it's who I am and so what if your a goth or not people who care about you will care about no mater how tall or goth looking you are. So I say to you Rock on.

Honey you are not too tall. I am 6"1' and I don't look weird. It doesn't matter what other people say you just gotta love yourself for who you are. Being a tall woman has its advantages. Allot of people are just intimidated. Tall is beautiful.

girl i am 5'10. and NO its not wierd. i know its very uncomfortable when people say your tall because i've had people say that about me too. there is nothing wrong with being goth and tall. tall girls are sexxxxy. dont be upset and im not saying this just to make you feel better. its the truth

No, your are NOT too tall, i am 5'8'' as well, and i get a lot of "compliments" like that. Just dont get too worked up over it. Instead i like to think they are jealous!

i wish i was 5'8.......its really good,if you are litlle heavty then loose some wieght and you'll look more attractive,and tall girls are not goth......you konw priyanka chopra is also 5'8.and remember you are not wierd.
