what is a great colour to match my skin tone for my workplace do, it's a red carpet affair.?

You should be able to get away with almost any colour, if you have dark skin. Red would look nice but you might want to stand out more from the red carpet. Maybe try turquoise, mauve, fuschia or white.

Red would look awesome, with dark hair and your petite size...It would make a really strong statement fashion wise...

Also, you could try some of the new tops with gold under a black lace over lay and an awesome pair of black dress pants or a long black skirt...some high shoes, long dangly earings...

Winter white would be super as well, like a really awesome pant suit...
