I have two friends who did that. It has taken over a decade to get back on their feet financially again. The ex-wives are doing very well financially. The ex-wives were cheating lying worthless creeps, and I say that as someone who was a female friend of the women.

If you have assets. maybe you should think about keeping your fair share, unless you really screwed your wife over somehow.

Depends on your wife style. When i got divorced i made it cut dry i wanted to be rid of him and far away so i wanted nothig and didn't take anything i just wanted my freedom. why yell and ***** its over with and why make anyone feel shitty its already a hard thing to go through just move on. But if your woman has been the type to fight you tooth and nail even in marriage then you can kiss a quiet divorce good bye i have read on here many times women becoming very nasty when they feel there bread and butter is leaving them they want to know what will happen to them and only them not that the marriage is over what will happen to me the house the money my insurance etc... You know your wife better. but get a good lawyer if she's that way. and have them deal with her crap.

If you give her everything, what will there be to fight about? If she agrees, all you need to do is get the papers drawn up and both of you sign, uncontested divorces are a lot cheaper, too. Think hard and make sure that this is what you want. You might be angry or really sad and just feel like giving up on everything, give yourself a little time to gather your thought and rethink the situation and see if you still want to give her everything.

Honey, it's possible. In this day and age, you can get divorced if you didn't like the way your spouse looks at you. Every state is a no-fault divorce, which means your spouse could contest it, but in the end, a divorce will be granted eventually. If you are going to give her everything, I don't see why she would...unless that "everything" comes with alot of monthly payments.

Call an attorney ask for a free consultation. Usually as long as there are no minor children involved, it is no big problem.
But to give her everything, you must really want out.
