This is a very difficult question.
If you look at both side to side it is almost like looking at Joe Montana and Dan Marino. Montana, like Brady, has the Championship rings. Also, just like Montana, Brady has constantly had great coaches and a decent cast of co-players around him.
Manning and Marino have not had that luxury. Both Marino and Manning are regular season statical giants. Breaking pretty much every passing record, neither seemed to have the right mix of players to get through the playoffs. Also until Dungy, Manning never really had great coaching.
In truth the answer to this opinion question lies in whether or not you feel that Championships or Records make greatness.
I am of the belief that records make greatness so I would CURRENTLY choose Manning as the better of the two.
However, Brady is still very young, so the jury is still out.

This is a no brainer. Tom Brady is a great quarterback but he has played on Super Bowl winning teams that were more superior all around than any of Peyton Manning's teams (during the Patriot's dynasty, Manning's Colts had suspect defense despite a great offensive attack). Peyton Manning is the better quarterback (better arm, better ability to read defenses, the way he can call audibles on the fly, is just as intelligent, and almost as clutch as Brady). Tom Brady is great too just not as great as Manning. Tom Brady has a greater legacy thus far. There's no question about that.

Tom Brady: 0 Regular Season MVPs (for now)
Peyton Manning: 2 Regular Season MVPs
Capable of 4,000 yard season?
Tom Brady: Yes
Peyton Manning: Yes
Amazing Stats?
Yes for Both.
Pro Bowls?
Yes for Both.
Very even so far.
Pro Bowl 1st Round Draft Pick Recievers?
Tom Brady: No
Peyton Manning: Yes
Super Bowls?
Tom Brady: 3
Peyton Manning: 0
Tom Brady wins, because he puts up wins, good stats, despite what people say (4,110 yards, 63 % completion, 93 passer rating last year, that is stellar, and shows he is capable of it, but he doesn't care about stats, he cares about winning), and he is the winningest QB in the Super Bowl Era, with a .733 record overall. He is amazing, and although both are stellar, Tom Brady is capable and has shown overall more than Peyton Manning has. Both are going to the Hall of Fame, and both are in the top 5 of all time. At least. Probably top 3.

Tom Brady for 3 reasons:
1. He does not have the weapons that Manning has, but yet is 2-0 in the post season vs. Manning
2. He has led several game winning drives for wins. Manning can't say that.
3. Brady has 3 Superbowl Rings, Manning has 0.

TOM BRADY!!
he is so much better! you can tell i mean tom brady...3 superbowl rings and a 2 time MVP and peyton manning ain't got nothing.
GO PATRIOTS (proud pats fan)
oh yeah i forgot to add....Tom Brady is clearly better because he doesn't just throw to one person like Manning does...Brady is a more veristile player and maybe thats why he has 3 superbowl rings....i just wanted to add that.
Tom Brady is the real deal and you can't listen to anyone else cause you no that Tom Brady is there when you really need him to pull through. He just runs the team better than Manning does.

man peyton manning is better
people saying that tom brady is better will only say that because of his SB rings
which is not fair
my theory is that u only need a decent (smart) QB, Great Defense and a reliable run game
so tom brady should not get so much credit for those SBs its not like he would have done that on any other team

Statistically Manning is the better QB and has an amazing football sense, he see's the field like no other and makes adjustments maybe better than anyone who has ever played. Using the Super Bowl standard Brady is one of footballs greatest ever, its pretty hard to argue with 3 rings and 2 SB MVP awards. Either way a team cant go wrong having either of them, they are both clearly Hall of Fame bound and both are just as classy off the field as they are good on it. By every standard they are the 2 most elite QB's currently playing.

Depends on what you think makes the better QB. If you're looking for consistnetly big numbers, then you go with Manning. If championships count more with you, then it's Brady. Me, if I had to win one game, Tom Brady starts for me.

Peyton Manning. He changes the play right on the line if he sees a weakness in the defense. Plus he has accurate aim.
