Yes... the live, active cultures found in yogurt are known as probiotics, or friendly bacteria. They help to fight off candida, the bad bacteria found in a yeast infection.
The important thing to remember about yogurt is that the probiotics must still be live when you eat them in order for them to work... if the probiotics are dead, they aren't going to do much good. It's not going to hurt anything, but you won't get the benefits.
From the claims I've read, the probiotics in both of those yogurt brands are supposed to be live, so you should be fine with these. Activia is my personal favorite.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Yes you need yogurt with live active cultures to help fight off the yeast. That is one reason why women should eat plenty of yogurt routinely. Also men as it helps to keep the digestive flora in good balance.

I don't see why not, they both have the active cultures that help with a yeast infection, but they won't cure it.
