Someone i know wants to buy an mp3 player and i have a com. but she doesn't. So instead of buying a computer for her too, i was wondering if there is a wire, or a cable to plug into the wall, in order to charge it. And plz not a car charger. Thnx

Depends on the brand. My Creative Zen has a separate power adapter/charger -- that's the only way to recharge mine. In fact, my charger ONLY works on the wall, not the car.

If she's okay using your computer to download/rip music to her MP3 player, then she should just make sure to buy one with a charger that's separate from the USB cable.

She should go into a Circuit City, Best Buy, or Fry's and ask somebody there for recommendations. They can point her in the right direction. Or if she wants to shop on line, she should make sure to look for a charger/adapter included in the package.

Yes, but not homemade. There are chargers that have USB ports designed specifically to charge those kinds of devices. You can usually buy them at gadget stores and stuff like that. Instead of plugging the cable into the computer, you plug it into the charger, and plug the charger into the power source.

I need to know what kind of connection does it use to hook up to a computer. If it's a USB port, there is a device that plugs into 12VAC (cigarrette lighter) and inverts the power to a single 110VAC outlet and a single powered USB port. I have one in my vehicle that I picked up at a truckstop.
Hope this info helps.
