Yes, that is your Tragus.
It's a bit more painful to pierce than your earlobe, and depending on who you ask, can be a little more paiful than the cartilege of your outer ear. It's a bit thicker than the cartilege there, so there's a bit more to pierce. Also, you have to make sure that it's pierced far enough away from the edge as they are notorious for migrating out.
Rings generally work best for this piercing.

I'm sorry to say but it really does. Mabe it's just me because I can be the biggest wimp at that sort of stuff. But when I got it done it did hurt for a little bit but if you clean it out well enough and DO NOT SLEEP ON IT you will be good
I really like mine though. :)

If my 40 year old aunt and her best friend could do it, you can too. She said it didnt hurt a bit but her friend said it only hurt a little. Don't sleep on it.,Mae was right about that.My aunt wears a cute little diamond or other type of stud or a little hoop. It looks good too

2 of my friends got that done last year. They said it only hurt after they got it done because they kept moving it. So my advice is not to mess with it too much or it will hurt. Hope I helped!

my friend had that done and she said that she could not sleep with that earring and it kept geting infected.
