I haven't watched grey's anatomy in a while, and there was somthing wrong with his hand.

I was wondering what was wrong with his hand, that he couldn't operate without Cristina being there...

On the season finale last year he was shot coming into the hospital... he had a head injury that required Dr. Shepard to operate, but there was a chance he would not be able to move is arm at all if the surgery was performed, they decided to go on with it anyway.. When he came out of the surgery he was able to move and do functions with his arm for the exception of his hand tremor, which no one knows about except Christina and now George... Christina goes into all surgeries with Burke and when his hand twitches, she takes over.. George found out accidentally on a hiking trip the men of Seattle Grace took last week... He hasn't told anyone Burke's secret, but I have a feeling its about to come out..

There is no telling.
He was shot trying to get Denny a new heart by a crazy restaurant worker trying to kill his boos in the hospital lobby.
Derek operated on Preston but there was some nerve damage. It should have gone away but Burke did not stop experiencing weakness and tremors in his right hand.
Christina volunteered to help him, to be onn his right hand. That meant learning to do surgeries long before she should have.
Derek Cleared Burke for surgery because precton didn't mention the tremors.
It was working up until George walked in and found Christina doing stitching she should not have been allowed to do. He thought Burke had a tremor on the fishing trip. He told Christina to tell him what is up. She wouldn't so George got another surgeon.
Christina thought Burke still needed her. Burke thought he did not. He seems to be able to operate but the lack of strength seems to be there.
Meanwhile, he is not losing patients.
If you watched Nip/Tuck this is not an unusual plot twist. Burke forced Christina to tell the truth when he pushed her away. He believed he was ready to operate again. She believed he needs her. She may be a mental crutch. If she is then he is right. I think that is the problem. I think it is all in his head. If it is he will be able to return to surgery but they will no longer be a couple. Otherwise, he will need some surgery.

He was on his way back from Seattle Presbyterian Hospital to check on a patient watiing for a heart transplant and some random patient started shooting everyone. He got shot and the shot did a lot of nerve damage. McDreamy opreated on him and after a while he was almost back to normal, but he was having tremors (shaky hand) during surgery and Christina was covering for him (helping him do surgery, etc)...they got into a fight and Christina told the Chief just before Burke could. He lost his place in line to become Chief of surgery and was replaced by a heart surgeon from Seattle Presbyterian. No one has been named new Chief yet.....lol I'm addicted....

In the season finale of season 2 he was shot and lost mobility in that hand. Derek operated on him and believed the surgery was a success(mainly due to the fact the Burke told him he was fine) However, as you can tell he isn't fine.

Yes I agree with Bookfan5, the fog was bad and captian smashed into the ferry at a high speed. But Ill watch it again tonight to see if i hear any mention of a bomb, i might have missed that part.

he got shot in the arm, now his hand isn't steady when he's operating, so Christina is trieng to hide that from everyone so he doesn't get fired

Ok see burke gets these tremors in his hand from when he got shot in the season finale of the 2nd season so his hand like doesnt function so he needs christina to help him operate when he gets them. They have gone so far with it.

he was having hand spasms, and had to have Cristina with him in all his surgeries. On the episode from tonight, Burke and Cristina dont go out anymore. You shouold watch the episode on abc.com
