does not clipping you fingernails and letting them grow long make them grow thicker? or would clipping them often make them thicker?

Using a quality moisturizer, getting regular manicures by a professional, and not using harsh chemicals will do wonders for your nails. And if your hands are in water for any length of time each day, it will strip the protective oils from your nails and cause them to be brittle and thin.

Clipping them has little effect on how they grow, just like cutting your hair has little effect on how healthy your hair is. You are just getting rid of any damaged ends.

Not Clipping your fingernails dosen't make them thicker. However, eating protein (nuts, fish,ect.) will make them stronger.

No, it doesn't make them grow thicker. Maybe you're thinking of hair.

No. If they 'seem' thicker when you've clipped them, it's because the ends wear thin from daily abuse.

Your nails being strong is from eating healthy and having the right vitamins in your body. I think Vitamin E can help your nails be stronger.
