use a paper bag and a warm iron, put the paper bag on the spot and run the warm iron over it, then move the paper and continue blotting until the spot is removed
It works pretty well
Good Luck

Two things to try. First try ice, freeze it and it may come up in pieces. Then to remove residue, very carefully take a old towel, something white and an iron. Make sure the cloth covers the entire area where you will iron the cloth and hopefully melt the wax and it will stick to the cloth. Heat the iron on a lower temp, then go higher as it begins to do the job. Concentrate and do not burn your carpet. Make sure the material is large enough. Just place the iron on the spot, don't iron, move it around like ironing. You don't want to spread the wax but lift it out. Then you can use a carpet cleaner or dish detergent and clean and rinse and dry the area, patting it. good luck.

Hi
There is two ways to remove wax from carpet.

1/ Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can .Use a dry clean white terrycloth place it over the wax spot then heat it with a iron on low setting because most homes have polyester carpet, and if the iron gets too hot, it'll melt the carpet. Keep checking the spot every ten seconds or so, moving the terrycloth so that a clean spot is on the carpet.

2/ Which is the better way. Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can Heat up a full kettle of water and pour it slowly on the carpet at the same time with a wet vac vacuum up the water. Keep on doing this until the wax is removed.

There are TWO ways to remove candlewax from carpet!

Either one of these methods will work!

METHOD ONE: Take your clothes iron and set it on low. Place a paper towel between the wax and the iron. The heat from the iron with soffen the candlewax, which will allow easy removal.

If you do not have a clothes iron, proceed to method two.

METHOD TWO: Place ice cubes in a baggie and place over the candlewax. This should make the candlewax hard(er). Utilize a small hammer or a straight edge (like a knife) to break up and scrape away the candlewax.

METHOD ONE is preferred (and much easier).

If color is left on your carpet from the candle, treat promptly with a prespotter.

I hope that this helps!

Iron

STEP 2: Take several sheets of paper towel (at least two or three) and put it over the wax.

STEP 3: Iron the paper towels, (just as you would a delicate fabric) gently moving the iron in small side-to-side motions.

STEP 4: Replace the paper towels as needed

Heat up your clothes iron to low-med, fold an old t-shirt or other similar cloth into a square (in half and than in half again), put the cloth on the wax, with the iron still plugged in move it over the cloth, fold the cloth again with the wax side inside. If the wax isn't up by now, take another old piece of cloth and repeat the process. The iron doesn't have to be real hot. Good luck.
