Okay..I'd go with the animal cell. Usually easier.

Get something round that you can glue things to. I bought myself a Styrofoam ball and cut it in half. This is your cell membrane.

ER - you know those fuzzy things with a wire inside that you can bend in any shape? Those are good.

Ribosomes - Just dot in black dots. -shrugs-

Cytoplasm - Colour in the inside of the Styrofoam.

Nucleus - Cotton ball

Golgi Apparatus - That candy. Forget what it's called. It's like long and thin and got sugar on it. Really sour. Anyway..fold it over a couple of times.

Mitochondia - Raisins.

If you want to use the above for a plant just put green construction paper around the ball, in a square obviously.

Another way to make a plant or cell is to use a bowl and put jello in it and then stick all the materials inside the jello. If you do it just right, it'll come out AMAZING. Only thing is it melts in the classroom and if you don't do it right, it looks unbelievably bad. If you want to take a risk and have a bunch of time, try this.

I'm thinking a zip lock bag is a good place to start. Then I would put in some clear jello or maybe light yellow. spagetti noodles could be ribosomes or mitochondria. Nucleus would be a marshmellow, etc, you get the idea. Hey, I hope your class is before lunch so you dont get hungry and eat the project before the class.
