of course lowering your car will make it handle better. wider tires, and lower profile might help as well for handling. stiffer anti-sway bars. i would probably just go with a thicker one in the rear though, since it probably already has alot of understeer.
as for better acceleration performance...most bolt on parts only give minimal gains because they are not the limiting factor in what is making your car slow. look at the power in your engine like a big water pipe...power=flow...now if this pipe has a bunch of valves and restrictors in it...increasing the pipe from 2" to 3" but leaving the 1/2" valves in it would do very little for increasing the flow...so why spend $600 for a new exhaust when you will only see maybe 5hp out of it...that is pretty much how most bolt on stuff works....now, the things limiting your HP are most likely your head and camshaft...after these are no longer the limiting parts to your horsepower puzzle, then you might see 15hp gains from an exhaust and 20hp from a cold air intake...when the box says "gain up to 20hp" dont go by that number, the key words are "UP TO".

the final rule is speed value money how briskly do you prefer to pass? you will possibly desire to placed a chilly air intake on , even in line with threat bore the section that shall we the air in to the intake(i'm having a recommendations fart i won't be able to undergo in recommendations the section call). you will possibly desire to pass with a greater open exhaust and a header. there are maximum of strategies i might desire to write approximately overall performance advancements i'm no longer likely to checklist all of them. only pass on line and that i'm greater desirable than specific you will discover an Audi club or an Audi overall performance internet site. all of it comes right down to how plenty money you prefer to spend. i'm unsure what year your audi is yet i recognize the older ones with the 5 cylinder engine have been incredibly cool and had a very stable sound. Do they nevertheless use the 5 cyl? have exciting with your Audi. by ways Audi , VW , seat , and Porche are the comparable business corporation.

your options (cost wise) for a faster car - other than going down hill- are listed below. basically each option needs all the preceding requirements.
1. free flow(performance) air intake
2. free flow exhaust
3. remapping the engine
4. performance valves , forged aluminium rally type pistons , re bore cylinder to maximum allowable oversize.
5. turbocharger/supercharger with blow off valve, new cylinder cover, bigger radiator, oil and fuel pumps and higher capacity gear box.
for handling you will have to reduce clearance, stiffen the suspension and wider low aspect tyres.

I would not bother with engine upgrades because whatever you add, your more likely to make your car slower.
To improve handling, add strut, tie, and sway bars. Lower your car with a stiffer suspension and lower profile tires.
Remember increasing your wheel size will make your car go slower and takes longer to stop your car unless you get bigger brakes.
