The Philosophers (Worldwide), or The Patriots (USA) are a great conspiracy story, though I don't know if it's directly related to any real conspiracy. It's just a general shaddow government that is really controlling everything behind the scenes. Presidents, Prime Ministers, etc are all members or appointed by members who are all secret, hidden characters, going all the way back to the founding of the United States.

On a totally seperate note, a favorite tradition that has been lost is the Jewish festivals and holidays. Christianity came out of Judea, yet we've totally forgotten all of those traditions, the most well-known being Passover, Chanukkah, etc. I think they still have great meaning for Christians today, and we may even be commanded to continue them. When Jesus said "Do this in rememberance of me," it was during Passover! He may not have meant to simply break bread and drink wine, but to carry on all of the traditions of Jewish culture in rememberance of Him.

The old joke is "If I tell you I will have to Kill you" ha ha
But the CIA is a secret even though they are somewhat exposed. The Russian Mob, which are some of the left overs from KGB gone mercinary and their offsprings and relatives. The Polish have a Mob too. But these are not my favorite. My favorite is A.M.O.R.C. or the Rosicrucian society. Just a bunch of librarians really, scientists in all areas of life.
As far as celebrations of tradition one is Purim a beautiful festival in the Jewish faith it's a carnival, everyone dresses up and prizes, games, etc. A great feast too. The old tradition of exchanging gifts and cards on peoples birthdays, and xman seems to be growing dimmer amongst many in the way it used to be. There were games played with friends and family and there were home made gifts with lots of love and thought. Hiding Easter eggs in the yard that is fun too. And Halloween is lost too, we used to where masks and have to guess who we were like at the mardi gras. Things are getting so mundane with the masses, like fast food we pass by our Thanksgiving in some homes as well for the need to work to survive. And that is a shame too. Because we need more love in our lives with friends and family. It seems the only reason we celebrate the 4th of July is to blow off fireworks and loud noises like bombs. This year the fire dept in my town was so obnoctious that my windows were rattling near to shatter, for they were not celebrating they were hating, because of the war and the need for them to take out their frustrations. They were really insulting. Happiness is Freedom not Hatred.

I'm a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In some ways we are a secret society, if a sorority can be considered that. Some of the bylaws are sexist, but the principles and the biblical stories are beautiful. We try to live our lives by the example of:
Adah - she allowed herself to be ritually sacrificed so as not to make a liar out of her father. Not a good literal example, but teaches us to be basically loyal.
Ruth - she gave up a comfy life so that her widowed mother-in-law wouldn't have to starve to death. In the end, she was rewarded because a rich guy was impressed and married her. Again sexist, but teaches that if we do the right thing, eventually it will come back to us.
Esther - An anti-semite married her because she was pretty, not knowing she was jewish. When he decided to pull a Hitler, she came out of the closet and he changed his mind. Teaches us that loyalty is important.
Martha - her brother Lazarus died and she resented it. Jesus helped her realize that we'll all come back in the afterlife. Teaches us not to lose hope even when our Earthly life is miserable, and not to seek happiness in material things.
and Electa - this is a made up name because the Bible doesn't tell us her name. Roman soldiers ordered her to stomp on a cross or they would kill her. She refused. Teaches us to do the right thing even when it's hard to do so.
Wow, someone gave me thumbs down on Bible stuff... that's cold, man.
